Detector KEDR includes a Tagging System (TS) - a special system for tagging scattered electrons from gamma-gamma processes. TS consists of two identical subsystems, placed at both sides from interaction point. Each susbsystem containes 4 blocks. One of the subsystems is shown in the figure.

The TS detects electrons and positrons, scattered in an interaction at angles of 0 - 0.01 rad with energy from 45% up to 98% of the beam energy. One or both scattered electrons from the interaction point are being detected by one or both TS subsystems of the KEDR.

Detection efficiency for both scattered electrons - up to 30 %. Energy of the scattered electron is being measured with accuracy of 0.1% of the beam energy. This gives gamma-gamma invariant mass resolution from 5 to 20 MeV. The main problems for investigation with the help of the tagging system are:
